Wow! What a summer for BCC and our staff!
It started the end on May with two weeks of counseling training in Cuba and graduating 47 students from BCC’s certificate program. This was our last visit to Cuba and the responsibility to continue training has been turned over to a Cuban national who was our translator and interpreter for the last five years.
In July another milestone was reached as we handed the baton over to an Ethiopian national who taught our Foundations Course at the college in Addis Ababa. I taught “A Theological Critique of Psychology” and helped determine the content for the Biblical Counseling major. Then I handed my syllabus over to the national professor to teach that course in the future.
In August we downsized the Arlington Heights office for greater stewardship of the space and efficiency of operation, all done in preparation for expanding our Lynwood office and opening a third location in September. Jeff Temple was visiting churches and pastors throughout the summer to promote the Fox Lake opening.
September 12th the fall seminar season started with classes just across the street from our Arlington Heights office. Later in September I spent a week in Arad, Romania teaching the Foundation course to 170 lay counselors and also counseling 18 hours at the church with a Romanian interpreter.
With all this activity, the budget has been tight and we continue to trust the Lord to provide for this expanding ministry. Your gift would help us to enter the fall in a good financial position. We want to maintain our policy of not turning anyone away from counseling or training because they cannot pay the fees during these challenging times. Please ask the Lord what gift you might give at this time.
Thanks!
