This agreement is between the Biblical Counseling Center (“BCC”), a 501(c)(3) ministry headquartered at 3233 N Arlington Heights Rd, Suite 301 C, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, and the church or ministry named on the sign-up form (the “Partner”). It describes what each of us commits to as part of the BCC Care Network.
1. Purpose of the partnership
The BCC Care Network exists to help churches care for people. Through this partnership, BCC becomes the Partner’s trusted counseling resource, and the Partner becomes an official Network Partner church that points its people to biblical counseling when a struggle needs more than a conversation with a friend or pastor.
2. What BCC provides
A designated counselor. BCC assigns one counselor as the Partner’s point of contact to coordinate with church leaders, answer questions, and help think through care situations.
Care Network counseling rate. People the Partner refers receive counseling at $75 per session (standard rate $90) for online or in-person sessions with any BCC counselor.
Priority scheduling. BCC gives referred individuals priority in scheduling, with the goal of a first appointment in the same week. This is a goal, not a guarantee; availability depends on counselor schedules.
Shared Care Program eligibility. The Partner may take part in BCC’s Shared Care Program, a cost-sharing model in which the church and BCC help cover counseling costs for people who cannot afford the full fee. Program terms are provided separately.
Official partner status and materials. BCC provides a promotional postcard and a media kit (logos, bulletin and slide graphics, and sample announcements) so the Partner can let its congregation know where to turn.
Care Partner benefits. The Partner’s leaders also receive all Care Partner benefits: care articles and tools, invitations to BCC training, a courtesy discount code for training, and access to the BCC Cares training community at bcccares.org.
3. What the Partner provides
A church liaison. The Partner names one leader as its liaison to BCC and keeps that contact information current.
The monthly partnership fee. The Partner pays the monthly fee for its attendance tier (Section 4) by automatic recurring payment.
An honest tier. The Partner selects the tier that matches its average weekly attendance and notifies BCC if attendance moves into a different tier for more than three consecutive months, at which point the fee is adjusted at the next billing date.
Telling its people. The Partner makes a good-faith effort to let its congregation know about the partnership, using the materials BCC provides or its own.
Working within the referral process. When referring someone, the Partner directs them to biblicalcounselingcenter.org/our-team to request an appointment and to mention the Partner church so the Care Network rate is applied.
4. Partnership fee
The fee is based on the Partner’s average weekly attendance:
Tier Average attendance Monthly fee
Small Church Under 150 $25
Medium Church 150 – 500 $75
Large Church 500 – 2,000 $150
Churches above 2,000 in attendance, or networks of churches, are served under a separate arrangement. Fees are billed monthly in advance to the payment method the Partner provides through BCC’s secure payment processor (Stripe). BCC may adjust fees with at least 30 days’ written notice; the Partner may end the partnership before any change takes effect.
5. Term and ending the partnership
The partnership begins on the date of the first payment and continues month to month. Either BCC or the Partner may end it at any time. Network Partners are asked to give 30 days’ notice so that people currently in counseling can be cared for well through the transition. To end the partnership, the Partner emails *protected email* or cancels through the payment portal link included in its receipts. No refunds are given for a partial month.
6. Counseling relationships and confidentiality
Counseling provided to individuals the Partner refers is between BCC and that individual. BCC does not share the content of counseling sessions, or confirm that a specific person is in counseling, with the Partner unless the counselee has given written consent, or disclosure is required by law or by BCC’s duty to protect someone from serious harm. Where a counselee gives consent, BCC welcomes collaboration with the Partner’s pastors and care team so that church care and counseling work together.
BCC counselors provide biblical counseling. They are not a substitute for emergency services, and BCC does not provide crisis or after-hours coverage. The Partner agrees to direct anyone in immediate danger to 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
7. Shared convictions
The Partner affirms that it is a Christian church or ministry that holds to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture for life and godliness, and that it is comfortable with BCC’s core values as described at biblicalcounselingcenter.org/counseling. BCC’s counselors work from those convictions in every session.
8. Use of names and logos
BCC may list the Partner by name and location as a Network Partner church on its website and in Care Network materials. The Partner may describe itself as a “BCC Care Network Partner” and use the Care Network logo provided in the media kit while the partnership is active. Each party stops using the other’s name and marks when the partnership ends.
9. General terms
This partnership is a ministry relationship, not a legal partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship. Neither party may act on the other’s behalf. BCC is not liable to the Partner for the outcome of any counseling relationship, and the Partner is not liable for the fees of individuals it refers. This document, together with the sign-up form, is the whole agreement and may be updated by BCC with 30 days’ notice; continuing the partnership after that notice is acceptance of the updated version. Questions about this agreement can be sent to *protected email* or (847) 398-7193.
