BCC has a firm conviction that effective biblical counseling should imitate the message, methods, and motivation demonstrated in the life of Christ. People marveled how Christ demonstrated a lifestyle that was "full of grace and truth." His words brought hope, his method sought to teach and reach the heart, and his motivation was love.

We differ from secular counseling training because our hope is the gospel, our foundation is the scriptures, and we reject unbiblical psychological theories and techniques. We use biblical categories to describe counseling struggles so that we can point people to the answers found in a strong faith in Christ and a trust and obedience to his word.

We differ from other biblical counseling training programs because our experience level and training program is well-developed, tested, and robust. Our online approach is both flexible and affordable. Also, our instructors are accessible to you and provide opportunities for live interaction.

Imagine learning biblical counseling from a team of counselors with more than 250 years experience combined. Our certificate students are guided on how to approach the most common counseling struggles.

In the Foundations course, you learn the basic methodology of counseling. In the Portraits course, you watch experienced counselors work with actual counselees (filmed split screen in our offices). In the Contemporary Issues course, students build on the Foundation and think through some trickier yet common issues.

Students have one year to complete the three courses in the program. If you are not finished, you may request a two month grace period for no charge. After the two months grace period, you must pay the monthly subscription fee until you complete the class.

We don't require a counseling background or college degree to join our training. You need to be willing to study your bible, eager to learn from experienced counselors, and willing to let God use you to help others. We care more about your sound theology and proper methodology than a demonstration of grammatical excellence.

We often encourage individuals to take our training in a small group setting and we even provide small group activities for every lesson to enhance your time together. In a small group setting, you can practice teaching and listening well and learn from the perspectives of one-another.
